Best Perms when Betting on Placepot Bet.

Placepots are a great way of enjoying a regular bet on horse races, without costing a fortune.

The bet is unique in the sense that you do not have to back any winners.

You just have to get a horse placed in 6 races for you to collect.

The Placepot is on offer at every race meeting in the U.K., and Ireland.

Remember, the bet is always based on the first six races of every meeting,regardless of how many races are on the whole card - first 6 every time.

The beauty of this bet, is you usually get a good run for your money, which can keep you entertained for several races.

However, you can of course get knocked out on the very first leg, which is irritating to say the least.

If you do get eliminated in the first race, or the second, you can try and turn things around by playing the Quadpot.

The Quadpot has the same conditions, and rules as the Placepot, but this is a bet for you to consider if going out early on your Placepot bet.

The Quadpot is always the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th races at every meeting ( the last 4 legs in your Placepot).

Most online bookies let you bet both the Placepot and Quadpot at the same time.To me, this is not a good betting option, and punters should wait and see if they are going to progress beyond the first 2 races, then consider Quadpot if knocked out early.

Now to the Perms for your Placepots.

Perms can be expensive as high numbers are involved, here i will give you the lowest unit cost available at most bookmakers - 10 pence.Just adjust you total stake if you have higher amount for each line.

Please note, the unit price for low number perms will have to have bigger line cost than 10 pence to reach threshold of £1.60 minimum stake.

1 selection in each race, is obviously 1 bet - £1.60.

2 selections in 1 race and 1 selection in the others - 2 lines at 80p. 

2 selections in 2 races and 1 selection in other races - 4 lines at 40p. 

2 selections in 3 races and 1 selection in other races - 8 lines at 20p.

You have now reached perm numbers that allow 10p per line.

2 selections 4 races and 1 selection in other races - 16 lines, 10 p - £1.60 p.

2 selections in 5 races and 1 selection in other race - 32 lines, 10 p - £3.20p.

2 selections in all 6 races - 64 lines, 10 p - £6.40 p.

3 selections 3 races  and 1 selection in other races - 27 lines, 10 p - £2.70p.

3 selections in 4 races and 1 selection in the others - 81 lines, 10 p - £8.10p.

3 selections in 5 races and 1 selection in other race  - 243 lines, 10 p - £24.30p.

3 selections in all 6 races - 729 lines, 10 p - £72.90p.

4 selections in 2 races and 1 selection in other races - 16 lines, 10 p - £1.60p.

4 selections in 3 races and 1 selection in other races - 64 lines, 10 p - £6.40p.

4  selections in 4 races and 1 selection in other races - £256 lines, 10 p - £25.60p.

4 selections in 5 races and 1 selection in other race - 1,024, 10 p - £102.40p.

4 selections in all 6 races - 4,096 lines, 10 p - £409.60p.

The above are the most popular bets, and higher numbers will be too expensive for most Placepot punters.

If you want different numbers in each race, just multiply out the numbers.

3 X 2 X 1 X 4 X 2 X 2 = 96 bets at 10p = £9.60.

4 X 3 X 4 X 2 X 1 X 3 = 288 bets at 10p = £28.80.
