Ffos Las is located in west Wales,situated between Llanelli and Carmarthen.

Like most U.K. racetracks,Ffos Las is left handed.

This is a flat track and will suit galloping horses,and offer a fair test to most horses - and that applies to flat,hurdle and chase tracks.

Track is spacious and allows horses time and room to show their best form.

Oval in shape,about 1.5 miles in circumference with easy bends and long straights.

Shute from main track allows Ffos Las to host 5 and 6 furlongs races over a straight course.

Little data from new flat course yet,but there appears to be no draw bias at all in sprint races at Ffos Las.

When track was laid,modern drainage system was incorporated which rarely results in testing going - update - prevailing ground conditions seem to defy those drainage systems,and going tends to be heavy or soft even when there is little rain.

Ffos Las race under both codes of racing,and flat and national hunt cards are hosted throughout the year.

Disabled customers are well catered for here,with lifts,toilets,and viewing areas all provided to make a day out enjoyable for disabled racegoers.

Regular racegoers here can take advantage of the annual badge,which costs £250.For this badge holders get access to all Ffos Las meetings,reciprocal arrangements with other U.K tracks,and also a pass into the Annual Badge Holder bar.

Like most other race tracks these days,Ffos Las are eager to host your seminars,weddings,exhibitions,etc.

Senior citizens and registered disabled can get concessions on entry fee by showing valid documents.

Ffos Las was the first National Hunt racecourse to be opened in the U.K. for more than 80 years.

Just 3 racecourses in Wales - the other two being Chepstow and Bangor.

Racecourse is well served by local buses (on major Llanelli to Carmarthen route).

There is also a shuttle service on race days from Llanelli railway station to racecourse.
