Non Runners in Your Yankee Bets - How To Work Out Bets With Non Runners in Yankees.
The first thing bettors must grasp,is that non runners do no affect the number of bets you have made.
If you have a 4 horse Yankee bet with 11 bets - you still have 11 bets even if you have one,2,or 3 non runners.

The Yankee bet is a good example of how non runners affect bets when covering doubles and trebles (and an acca in this case).
Lets put a non runner in 4 winner Yankee bet - 2/1 , 4/1, 7/1, NR.
You know from previous article the equation for calculating Yankee bets.
Just the same - but now you need to allow for non runner - and you always enter 2.
So,the equation for above example is 4 × 6 × 9 × 2 - 1 - 3 - 5 - 8 - 1 = 414 (£414.00) - just adjust for your stake at the end,as the result is always for full £1,or $1,or any other currency.
The 2 and the 1 highlighted above represent the 2 units for non runner (you always boost odds by 2 points in calculations),and the 1 represent the deduction for single bet of non runner.
As you can see,you are still calculating 11 bets although you have a non runner.
More difficult prices 4 winner Yankee - 13/8 , 15/8 , 9/4, NR.
Equation here is 29 ÷ 8 × 31 ÷ 8 × 17 ÷ 4 × 2 - 1 - 2.62 - 2.88 - 3.25 - 1 = £108.65.
As you can see the highlighted 2 and 1 are constant every time you calculate winnings.
You will also notice I took short cut in deducting singles in equation as I know all odds to £1 - you may have to enter full equation for each price if you don't know those odds - as explained in previous articles including Work Out Yankee Bets.
Now 2 Non Runners in Winning Yankee - 100/30, 5/2, NR , NR.
Exactly the same procedure.
16 ÷ 3 × 9 ÷ 2 × 2 × 2 - 1 - 4.33 - 3.5 - 1 - 1 = £85.17.
The red numbers again show the non runners in formula,this time 2 non runners - you are still entering 4 prices,and you still have same number of bets - always.
